ECOSYSTEMS

Dynamic Networks

Ecological systems persist, reorganize, and sometimes collapse across scales ranging from individual populations and local communities to landscapes and entire biomes. Understanding what makes these systems stable, resilient, or vulnerable – and how those properties change across space and time – is increasingly central to both fundamental ecology and the practical challenges of environmental change. To build a more unified understanding of these dynamics, participants will engage with emerging theory, quantitative methods, and detailed case studies – bringing together approaches from across ecology and adjacent fields to address some of the most pressing questions at the frontiers of ecological science.
