4.1 letters of recommendation » follow up

Immediately after you have confirmed with your recommender and sent them the information and documents to help with the letter, enter their name and contact information in the appropriate places in your UCR application. This will initiate an email to your recommender directly, providing them instructions for the letter and a means of uploading the file.

 

You must check your UCR application to see when the letter has been uploaded by your recommender. If they have not uploaded their letter about two weeks before the deadline, you should email them directly to find out if they can still meet the deadline and send them an automated request through the application systems itself. You are required to "Submit" your application after they have uploaded their letter; this is not automatic and it is your responsibility.
