Check out our new concept-focused tutorial that builds intuition for the behavior of nonlinear systems using animated visuals and paradigmatic examples from across the physical and biological sciences. Examples such as the logistic map, the Van der Pol oscillator, and the Lorenz system are used to illustrate how simple rules can produce complex and even chaotic behavior. This course is appropriate for learners who want a clear, visual introduction to nonlinear dynamics.

Computation in Complex Systems now always available

From SFI Professor Cris Moore

Our popular course on computational complexity has returned to Complexity Explorer in a new always-available and fully asynchronous format. The aim of this course is to help participants gain an understanding of the deep ideas of theoretical computer science in a clear and enjoyable fashion, making them accessible both to non-computer scientists and to computer scientists who want to revisit these ideas in a broader and deeper way.
