In the last unit, we gave a broad overview of many of the key concepts related to the origins of life. Next, we will take a closer look at the detailed chemistry thought to be important to the origin of life. We will discuss the likely chemistry of the early earth, what chemistry may be fundamental to life's origin, what we know is required for biochemistry in modern life, the types of processes that can occur in chemical dynamics, and the types of extreme life that we observe today existing in a variety of environments.
