Hello, I'm Helena Miton.

I am a Complexity Postdoctoral Fellow

at the Santa Fe Institute

and I will present this introduction

to open science tutorial.

I am a cognitive scientist who works

on cultural evolution.

I work on questions such as

how do we maintain traditions through the

passing of time and generations

of individuals and why do cultural

phenomea take the precise shapes they do.

I started my master's degree in 2012

and did most of my training as a

cognitive scientist in the middle of

the replication crisis in psychology which

is one of the reasons I think open science

is important.
